$1,004,723Anthony became a millionaire by playing online!

Montréal, August 9, 2019 — On July 27, Montérégie resident Anthony Paxton pocketed $1,004,723 while playing Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Hawaiian Getaway on Loto-Québec’s online gaming website, lotoquebec.com.

In summary

  • Game: Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Hawaiian Getaway
  • Prize won: $1,004,723
  • Date of win: July 27, 2019
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montérégie
  • Claim date and location: August 1, 2019, at the Loto-Québec head office in Montréal

Highlights

  • Anthony went to the administrative offices of his garage to take a little break and play Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Hawaiian Getaway on his mobile. Sitting next to his spouse, he placed bets for only a few minutes before realizing he’d just won big.

  • The screen lit up with his winnings: $1,004,723! The couple was in shock. “My spouse was holding the phone in her hands like it was something dangerous!” quipped the new millionaire.

  • Anthony wasted no time calling Loto-Québec to confirm that it was a real win. “I was afraid the prize would be issued as credits,” he said.

  • Even as he received his cheque, Anthony still had a hard time believing he’d won such a big amount. His plans? A trip to Greece is in the offing, as are gifts for his children.
