$1,000,000A Montérégie resident becomes a millionaire thanks to Loto de l’été

Montréal, September 14, 2018 – Montérégie resident Stéphane Hould became a millionaire at the August 16 grand draw of Loto de l’été. He won one of the two million-dollar prizes.

In short

  • Lottery: Loto de l’été
  • Prize won: $1,000,000
  • Draw date: August 16, 2018
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montérégie
  • Retailer: Metro (50, boulevard Montcalm Nord, Candiac)
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec headquarters in Montréal

  • Stéphane only learned of his big win on September 9, one month after the draw. He had left his ticket on the fridge.
  • He announced his good fortune to his colleagues when he went to work on September 10.
  • He was still in a state of shock when he claimed his prize.
  • He was calm and attentive to the advice of the claims staff, looking to see if his cheque actually had six zeros!
  • He usually only plays Canada-wide games, but decided to make an exception, buying three selections of Loto de l’été. You can bet he has no regrets!

  • “I’m speechless!” said the winner.
