Montréal, October 24, 2018 – Laval resident Jean-Claude Lavoie won $1,000,000 at the Lotto Max draw of October 12.

  • When he learned he had become a millionaire, he immediately told his brother and spouse.
  • The couple, who has been married for 61 years, plans on selling their condo and moving into a luxury residence where they can continue to take advantage of their retirement and going out to eat.



  • “Winning a million dollars on a $5 bet is unbelievable!” exclaimed Mr. Lavoie when he came to claim his prize.
