Montréal, October 10, 2018 – Rachelle Poulin Drouin, her spouse Yoland Lalonde, her son Daniel Drouin, and his spouse Sylvie Couture, split the 40,000,000 jackpot at the October 3 Lotto 6/49 draw. The four family members reside in the Monterégie region.

  • Category: Jackpot
  • Draw date: October 3, 2018
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montérégie
  • Retailer: Boni-Soir (61 Route 202, Lacolle)

  • Mr. Lalonde checked the ticket two days after the draw. He was shocked to learn that the group had pocketed a whopping 40 million dollars!
  • He was so shaken by news that the store manager offered to drive him home!
  • Mr. Lalonde plans on celebrating his new-found fortune by purchasing a spacious new car to pamper his spouse Ms. Poulin Drouin and, to pamper himself, he’ll be buying a vintage 1937 Ford, the year of his birth.
  • Mr. Lalonde ended the press conference by wishing that everyone in the room would one day have the chance to experience the exhilaration you feel when you learn you’ve hit the jackpot.

  • “We haven’t slept in three days!” said Mr. Lalonde, one of the winners.
  • “It still hasn’t sunk in,” added Ms. Couture.
  • “I’ve remained calm on the outside, but my insides are tied in knots!” exclaimed Ms. Poulin Drouin.
