  • He was so shaken by news that the store manager offered to drive him home!
  • Mr. Lalonde plans on celebrating his new-found fortune by purchasing a spacious new car to pamper his spouse Ms. Poulin Drouin and, to pamper himself, he’ll be buying a vintage 1937 Ford, the year of his birth.
  • Mr. Lalonde ended the press conference by wishing that everyone in the room would one day have the chance to experience the exhilaration you feel when you learn you’ve hit the jackpot.

Quotes

  • “We haven’t slept in three days!” said Mr. Lalonde, one of the winners.
  • “It still hasn’t sunk in,” added Ms. Couture.
  • “I’ve remained calm on the outside, but my insides are tied in knots!” exclaimed Ms. Poulin Drouin.
