  • On the advice of his friend, Mr. Léveillé started buying his Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 tickets through Loto-Québec’s online game site. He’d always forget to buy them when he was out grocery shopping and his friend feared he might miss out on a big win. “It’s so practical. Now I don’t forget. And I can buy them from home.”

  • On the day of his 40th wedding anniversary, Mr. Léveillé found out that he’d scored a big win through an email from Loto-Québec. “Woah! $300,000?” he exclaimed upon realizing that he’d won $297,615.

  • He called his wife right away, who was doing her morning jogging at the time.

  • They kept the good news to themselves.

  • With their winnings, the retired couple plans to pay off the recent renovations on their home, and hopes to travel abroad more often.
