Montréal, June 12, 2018 – Québec City residents Josée Valérie Fortin and Steve Lagueux took home a $1 million prize in the June 1 Lotto Max draw.

  • “Geez!” exclaimed Ms. Fortin when she checked her Lotto Max ticket and saw $1,000,000 displayed on the screen.

    She asked the store’s cashier to look at it to be sure. She had indeed won!

  • Her spouse, who was waiting for her in the car, thought it was taking her much longer than expected. His phone rang and she asked him to come inside to join her.

  • So, he did and that’s when she announced: “We’ve won $1,000,000!” to which he answered: “I don’t believe it! Stop kidding around!” 

  • The couple is planning to travel and invest in a property, but for now, they want to take some time to consider their options.
