$1,000,000 Montréal couple win big at Québec Max!

Montréal, July 19, 2018 – Montréal resident Marcio Camargo Concilio and his spouse, Marie-Andrée Ducharme, won $1,000,000 at the July 13 draw of Québec Max.

In short

  • Lottery: Québec Max
  • Prize won: $1,000,000
  • Category: 7/7
  • Draw date: July 13, 2018
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montréal
  • Retailer: Petro-Canada (111, montée Ryan, Mont-Tremblant)
  • The retailer will receive a 1% prize of $10,000
  •  Claim centre: Loto-Québec head office in Montréal

Highlights

  • While the new parents were visiting their family in the Laurentians, Marcio Camargo’s mother asked him to go to the convenience store for milk. He took the opportunity to buy a Lotto Max ticket without realizing it also played in the Québec Max draw.
  • It was only once they got back home from their stay that Marie-Andrée checked the Lotteries app to see if the ticket was a winner. As soon as she passed the phone over her ticket, the words “$1,000,000 winner” popped up!
  • At first, she thought it was an ad. But when she tried again and she received the same message, she cried out “Marcio, I think we won a million dollars!” A bit flustered, he immediately parked the car and signed the ticket, while shaking like a leaf. The couple then went to the nearest convenience store. The cashier who validated the ticket was shocked and thrilled for the winners.
  • The couple plans on investing part of the money for the future as well as taking a vacation in Europe.
