In short
- Lottery: Mise-o-jeu
- Prize won: $115,381
- Claim date: December 5, 2018
- Winner’s place of residence: Montréal
Highlights
-
Avid sports fan Alan Browne bet on a fight and took home a seriously nice prize: $115,381!
-
When he came to pick up his cheque, the Montrealer confided that our products actually improve the sports and entertainment experience. “It makes it even more exciting to watch! Trying to beat the odds is always fun and it makes the experience of watching a match that much more interesting.”
-
Alan’s favourite sport to bet on is golf. “Anything can happen, the odds are very good!” he added. He tends to bet on underdog players who, from an odds perspective, are less likely to win. He finds it that much more satisfying when the results land in his favour.
-
Alan actually won from betting on the Wilder vs. Fury fight. Thinking the two opponents were of equal skill level, he bet that the match would end in a tie. And sure enough, the boxing match ended in a split decision draw.
-
Ecstatic over his win, he says he’d love to come back to Loto-Québec’s offices, but next time, to claim a bigger prize.
-
Alan plans to invest part of his winnings, and use some of the money to buy a new car for his sister.
