Montréal, November 16, 2017 – Montérégie resident André Lacasse pocketed the one-million-dollar Guaranteed Prize at the October 28 draw of Lotto 6/49.

Highlights

  • Mr. Lacasse won the $1,000,000 Guaranteed Prize with a ticket he was given for his birthday by a couple of friends.
  • When he received the ticket, Mr. Lacasse said jokingly: “This time, we’re going to win!” He didn’t have to blow out the candles for his wish to come true!
  • His spouse checked a few of their tickets while running errands.
  • After checking with the kiosk employee to make sure she saw the amount correctly on the consumer display on the terminal, she immediately called Mr. Lacasse discreetly so he could come and see for himself what he had won.
  • In total disbelief, he said to the kiosk employee “Pinch me!”
  • He plans on travelling and getting a new kitchen.

Lottery winners may claim their prizes at the Trois-Rivières and Québec City gaming halls, Loto-Québec’s Montréal and Québec City offices, or at the Casino de Montréal, Casino du Lac-Leamy, Casino de Charlevoix or Casino de Mont-Tremblant.
