Lynne Roiter named Loto-Québec’s President and CEO

Montréal, May 31, 2017 – Loto-Québec’s Board of Directors wishes to officially announce the appointment of Lynne Roiter as the Corporation’s President and CEO. Ms. Roiter’s appointment, which follows her term as interim President and CEO since August 6, 2016, was approved today by the Conseil des ministres and followed the recruitment process prescribed in the Act respecting the governance of state-owned enterprises.

“For the past thirty years, Lynne Roiter has truly been a pillar of Loto-Québec. She advanced in the organization to become Secretary General and Vice President of the Legal Department, and then interim President and CEO. She has gained an excellent reputation on the international scene and has held the position of Secretary General of the World Lottery Association since 2006. She will of course enjoy the full support and cooperation of the Board of Directors,” said Board Chair Hélène F. Fortin.

Ms. Roiter proudly welcomed the news. “I am very fond of Loto-Québec. I intend to pursue the Corporation’s vision and projects in cooperation with the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Loto-Québec and its subsidiaries possess a team of high-calibre employees and managers, and I will continue to work closely with them to promote our entertainment offerings within the framework of our commitment to responsible gaming.”
