Montréal, April 21, 2017 – Montréal resident Shawn Bloom doesn’t normally play the lottery, but there is no denying he is a lucky man! He took a one-off chance and bought a Gagnant à vie! ticket, and took home a lifetime annuity of $1,000 a week for life!

Winner’s reactions
- Before walking away with the grand prize, Mr. Bloom mentioned to his wife how great it would be to win big at the lottery.
- “But to win, you have to play,” he said. His spouse said he would be wasting his time.
- A few days later as he was leaving the supermarket with dinner, he stopped by the scratch ticket display and randomly chose a ticket that he scratched at work.
- His spouse admitted that winning the lottery was indeed possible, when the couple entered the the winners lounge at Loto-Québec!
- The man in his thirties chose the lifetime annuity of $1,000 a week as opposed to the $675,000 lump sum.
