100 x multimplicateurA Montérégie resident becomes a millionaire

Montréal, May 29, 2017 – Montérégie resident Daniel Gagnon had the luck of winning $1,000,000 with a 100 x multiplicateur scratch ticket.

Summary

  • Lottery: 100 x multiplicateur
  • Prize won: $1,000,000
  • Draw date: May 29, 2017
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montérégie
  • Retailer: Marché Gaston Tremblay (269 Rue Saint-Alexandre, Napierville)
  • The retailer will receive a 1% prize of $10,000.
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec’s head office in Montréal

Highlights:

  • Daniel Gagnon usually goes out to eat for his birthday, but this year, he chose a quiet evening at home with his spouse.
  • He stopped at the grocery store to purchase a few scratch tickets.
  • He had his sights on a winning Roue de fortune! Ticket and went to several different retailers to buy tickets for this lottery.
  • When he got to the last retailer, he asked the cashier to spin the wheel on the terminal screen. He won $25 which he used to purchase 100 x multiplicateur tickets.
  • Back home, he scratched one of the tickets and asked his spouse to scratch the second one. “Are you playing a joke on me?” she asked while scratching the ticket.
  • Since her husband liked to play practical jokes, she thought he had given her a fake $1,000,000 ticket. In fact, it was quite real!
  • The couple immediately went to a retailer to confirm their win.
  • Mr. Gagnon will be putting away his winnings until his retirement, the date of which has yet to be decided.
