Gagnant à vie!A Laurentides resident wins $1,500,000

Montréal, June 27, 2017 – Laurentides resident Alain Lachapelle purchased a Gagnant à vie! édition spéciale scratch ticket and won a grand prize, choosing to take the lump sum of $1.5 million!

Summary

  • Lottery: Gagnant à vie! édition spéciale
  • Prize won: $1,500,000 lump sum
  • Draw date: June 22, 2017
  • Winner’s place of residence: Laurentides
  • Retailer: Alimentation A.M.L. (339 Montée de l’Église, Saint-Colomban)
  • The retailer will receive a prize of $15,000, 1% of the lump sum.
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec’s head offices in Montréal

Highlights

  • Mr. Lachapelle enjoys trying his luck at the lottery by purchasing tickets.
  • He has been buying fewer tickets since a big win a few years ago.
  • For the past couple of weeks, he had the feeling he would win again. He even mentioned it to his daughter.
  • He went to a retailer and asked for a Gagnant à vie! édition spéciale ticket: “Give me a winner, please!”
  • And that’s just what he got: a winning ticket for $100,000 a year for life. Mr. Lachapelle opted for the lump sum of $1,500,000.
  • After shouts of joy at the convenience store, he went to tell his sister the good news. He did a little dance in front of her, making her ask what all the fuss was about. He then showed her the ticket.
  • He plans on taking time out to reflect on what he will do with his newfound fortune, but will certainly be giving his daughter a helping hand.
