Extra$1,000,000 - A new millionaire in Montérégie

Montréal, January 6, 2017 – The year 2016 ended well for Montérégie resident Marcel Carrier who won the $1,000,000 grand prize at the December 30 draw of Extra.

Highlights
• During the Holidays, while chatting with his sons, Mr. Carrier said he would like to have a house built. On those words, he declared “I’m going to buy a lottery ticket and win!”
• When he went to buy his ticket, he decided to check one that he had on him. Thinking he only had the last three numbers, he thought to himself that the next time would be the right time.
• The store clerk announced to him: “You won a million dollars, sir!”
• Mr. Carrier could not believe his luck and began to cry tears of joy.
• Retired, this new millionaire stated he was generally a lucky person. He was in a group that won a Lotto 6/49 jackpot in 2005. At that time, he pocketed $704,000.
• The lucky winner wishes to help his sons in the purchase of their respective homes.

Quote
• “Ask and you shall receive!” repeated Mr. Carrier during his chat with the customer service team at Loto-Québec.
