Montréal, December 1, 2017 – Montérégie co-workers Eva J. Thompson and Hui Chen Yang won the $5,000,000 jackpot at the November 29 draw of Lotto 6/49!

  • The two co-workers take walks together twice a week and always purchase a Lotto 6/49 ticket. They take part in both Wednesday and Saturday draws.
  • The normally verify their ticket during their lunch hour. The day after the draws, Eva called Hui Chen to tell her that she forgot to check to see if they were millionaires.
  • So they verified their ticket and saw that they has the winning combination thanks to a free play won on a previously.
  • The lucky co-workers, who had become quite flush, decided to keep their secret at work.
  • Their respective families were the first to hear the good news, much to the surprise of all!
  • Eva plans to pay off her mortgage and visit her family in England, while Hui Chen also plans to visit her family in Taïwan.
