Montréal, September 16, 2016 – Robert Belzil and André Cloutier, residents of Montréal and Laval respectively, pocketed the $5,000,000 grand prize at the September 7 Lotto 6/49 draw.

Winners’ reactions
• Mr. Belzil and Mr. Cloutier have been purchasing tickets together for years.
• As they didn’t have a ticket for the September 7 draw, they bought when we running errands.
• The next morning, Mr. Belzil went to check the ticket. The cashier, a bit distracted, told him he had won $5,000.
• He happily announced the good news to Mr. Cloutier who, looking at the validation coupon remarked “There are far too many zeros to be just $5,000, we won $5,000,000!”
• Mr. Cloutier plans on getting a new motorcycle, whereas Mr. Belzil wants to purchase an RV.

• “I always knew I would win big one day, not necessarily millions, but at least $100,000!”, said Mr. Belzil as he received his share of the grand prize.

Claiming lottery prizes in gaming establishments
Lottery prizes may now be claimed at the gaming halls in Trois-Rivières and Québec City as well as at Loto-Québec’s offices in Montréal and Québec City. The same service is available at the Casino de Montréal, the Casino du Lac-Leamy, the Casino de Charlevoix and the Casino de Mont-Tremblant.
