Gagnant à vie!$1,000 a week for life - A prize is won in the Laurentides region

Montréal, September 28, 2016 – Laurentides resident Elizabeth Deveault likes the Gagnant à vie! lottery because she finds the concept of a lifetime annuity reassuring. Well, she now can rest assured that she will be receiving $1,000 a week for life!

In brief
• Lottery: Gagnant à vie!
• Prize won: $1,000 a week for life
• Draw date: September 22, 2016
• Winners’ place of residence: Laurentides
• Retailer: IGA (2605 Rue d’Annemasse, Boisbriand)
• The retailer will receive $6,750, 1% of the lump sum.
• Claim centre: Loto-Québec’s Montréal headquarters

Winner’s reactions
• Ms. Deveault purchased her Gagnant à vie! ticket while she was repainting a room in her house. During a break to pick up a few things at the grocery store, she asked the cashier for a ticket.
• Back home, Ms. Deveault went right back to work before remembering she had bought a ticket. She thought that it would be a good idea to scratch the ticket, as it might change her plans for dinner.
• She couldn’t have predicted it better: When she got to Game 6, she uncovered three VIE symbols, winning her the grand prize!
• In complete and total shock, she took a picture of the ticket and sent it to her spouse. Seeing the ticket, he replied: “That’s crazy! Are you sure? That’s unbelievable!”
• Meanwhile, the winner returned to the retailer to validate her ticket. She cried tears of joy once back in her car!

Quote
• “I am living proof that you can win, you just have to take a chance!”
