Québec 49$2,000,000 - Our third Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean millionaire has come forward!

Montréal, October 4, 2016 – Loto-Québec is proud to announce that Jonquière resident Carole Dupéré is the third Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean millionaire in less than a month. She won $2 million in the September 28 Québec 49 draw. She came to Québec City’s new claim centre (Place Fleur-de-Lys) to pick up her cheque, thus becoming the very first millionaire to be welcomed at our new Québec City offices opened only two days ago.

Summary
• Lottery: Québec 49
• Prize won: $2,000,000
• Category: 6/6
• Draw date: September 28, 2016
• Winner’s place of residence: Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean
• Retailer: Super C (3640 Boulevard St-François, Jonquière)
• The retailer will receive a 1% prize of $20,000.
• Claim centre: Québec City office

The winner’s reaction
• Every time Carole Dupéré heard on the radio that a Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean $2 million winner had yet to come forward, she would say to her spouse that some people are really relaxed about claiming their prize, not realizing that she was that person!
• Arriving at work this morning, Carole Dupéré scanned her ticket and saw $2,000,000 displayed on her screen. She couldn’t believe her eyes. She decided to cut her work day short and went to her spouse’s place of work to tell him, “Honey, we’re heading to Québec City to pick up $2 million!”
• She will give herself plenty of time to let this big win sink in.
• Working less will be one of her priorities.

Quote
• “You just don’t believe it, and that it must be a mistake. It’s really an odd feeling!” said winner Carole Dupéré.

Another unknowing millionaire is still out there
Loto-Québec reminds customers that a $1 million Extra winner in the September 2 draw is till out there. The ticket was purchased in Roberval.
