Lotto 6/49$1,000,000 - A new millionaire in the Laurentians

Montréal, October 11, 2016 – Marielle Grenier Campbell, who lives in the Laurentians, took home the guaranteed million in the September 21 Lotto 6/49 draw.

Summary
• Lottery: Lotto 6/49
• Prize won: $1,000,000
• Category: guaranteed prize
• Draw date: September 21, 2016
• Winner’s place of residence: Laurentians
• Retailer: Marché Bondu Omni (1017 Rue Principale, Notre-Dame-de-Pontmain)
• The retailer will receive a $10,000 commission, equal to 1% of the prize.
• Claim centre: Loto-Québec head office in Montréal

The winner’s reaction
• A few days after the draw, Ms. Grenier Campbell looked up the results on the Internet. Seeing only one correct number out of the six in the main winning selection, she simply hoped her luck would be better the next time.
• She kept her ticket and asked a grocery store clerk to validate it anyway.
• Ms. Grenier Campbell heard the musical notes, and the cashier said: “Madam, you have won $1,000,000!”
• Sceptical because she had already checked the numbers, the lucky winner returned home and called her son to ask him to also check the results. It occurred to him to look at the winning guaranteed number for the draw and realized that his mother had indeed won $1 million!
• She said she would indulge in more restaurant meals with her family, purchase a new car and treat her loved ones.

Quote
• “You have to be kidding!” exclaimed the winner, not believing the news.
