Gagnant à vie!$675,000: A lucky winner in the Mauricie region

Montréal, July 6, 2016 – Mauricie resident Joseph Romuald Pelletier pocketed a Gagnant à vie! grand prize. He opted for the $675,000 lump sum.

In brief
• Lottery: Gagnant à vie!
• Prize won: $675,000
• Draw date: June 28, 2016
• Winner’s place of residence: Mauricie
• Retailer: Shell (275 Rue Barkoff, Trois-Rivières)

Winner’s reactions
• While waiting to get on a bus headed to the Casino de Charlevoix, Mr. Pelletier purchased a lottery ticket that he scratched a few minutes later.
• The good news, that he managed to keep to himself the entire day, made for an even better trip.
• He plans on using his winnings to travel and to purchase “a nice little car” for his spouse.

Quote
• “It was great to meet this winner. He was talkative and all smiles!” said Marie-Eve Huot, a Loto-Québec customer service representative.

Three winners in one weekend
• Several people won at Gagnant à vie! during the Fête nationale weekend.
• In addition to Mr. Pelletier, who uncovered a grand prize on a scratch ticket, two other winners got to choose between an annuity of $1,000 a week for life and the lump sum.
• They won on June 24 while playing Gagnant à vie! slot machines at the Casino de Montréal and the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
• The winners are, respectively, Lanaudière resident Denis Paquet and Nathalie Lamarche of the Outaouais region.
• Just a reminder that the popular instant lottery Gagnant à vie! can now be found in our gaming establishments and online at Espacejeux.com.
